San Francisco Youth Lacrosse – Girls Program Assistant
In collaboration with SFYLC and the Board, the Girls’ Program Assistant will support the operation of all Riptide girls’, and periodically boys’, lacrosse teams and programs. Compensation will be $1200–$1500 per month, excluding the months of July and August. The role includes the following responsibilities:
Fall

Attend 100% of fall sessions, including all Sunday Fall Ball sessions for youth and high school, and any camps scheduled around Thanksgiving

Confirm attendance of all coaches at least 5 days prior to each session

Set program/plan for each Sunday session and proactively distribute to coaches at least 3 days in advance
-
Ensure equipment is set up and locked at every location
Spring
-
Attend 100% of preseason sessions, practices, and games; be able to backfill as a coach if needed

Implement a weekly practice plan for 3 or more teams (e.g., all U10 teams practicing together via stations at GGP Polo Fields)

Support coaches with team communications: proactively reach out to all teams to confirm availability; escalate if a team appears short on players

Proactively confirm games with opponents via email at least by the Monday prior to game day; escalate issues if needed

Support coaches with end-of-season player evaluations
Summer
-
Set the practice and tournament schedule for Riptide Girls teams

Attend 100% of all sessions including camps, tournaments, practices, and other activities

Support coaches with travel logistics for summer tournaments
Year-Round Responsibilities

Maintain consistent, clear communication with the Board and Girls Director regarding the overall status of the program

Maintain and share photos or videos of Riptide lacrosse in action
-
Be available to interview and recruit new coaches to the Riptide program

Manage communications outside of the team coaches, including:

Practice, tournament, and team communication via TeamSnap
-
Ensuring each team’s TeamSnap is accurate and up to date
-

Track coaches’ attendance, availability, and performance for payroll
-
Maintain working knowledge of Riptide girls’ equipment and inventory
-
Work with the Director of Ops to ensure all practices and games have necessary equipment (e.g., mouthguards, uniforms, etc.)

Be available to retrieve items from storage as needed
