The San Francisco Lacrosse Club is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors.  While we have paid coaches and some staff, we thrive when families take active volunteer roles in our program, which provides a strong sense of community and enables us to achieve our objectives as a club while limiting our costs.

Coaching Staff

Our head coaches are a mix of parent volunteers with experience in the game and hired non-parent coaches with more recent playing and coaching experience.   We also have assistant coach roles that are often filled by parents with strong cat-herding skills (lacrosse experience is a plus but not a requirement).

Team Volunteer Positions: 

Team Manager:  Each team has a team manager to coordinate team communications with players, parents and coaching staff; manage league mandated pre-game protocol;  and organize game day volunteers

Score Keeper:  Sits at sideline table, tracking score and completing scoresheets

Time Keeper:  Sits at sideline table and maintains game clock

Sideline Manager:  Keeps sidelines clear of parents and siblings; monitors sportsmanship of spectators

Board & Officers

In addition to the above roles, the San Francisco Lacrosse Club is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors who set policy for the club and help manage day-to-day activities.  Board members serve for at least 2 years and commonly serve key volunteer roles as well.  The Board is headed by the Board Chair, the club President, a Treasurer and a Secretary.
